What data is collected?
metastats.gg processes the following data categories:
- Player data from the public Riot Games API (puuid, Riot ID, match data, rank) — only for the player search requested and in caching tables for performance.
- Server logs (anonymised IP, user-agent, timestamp) via our hosting provider Vercel — for security and performance analysis.
- Language cookie (metastats-lang) to persist your language choice — functionally required per § 25 Abs. 2 TTDSG.
Processors & Services
- Vercel Inc. (USA) — hosting & edge cache. Privacy Shield certified, GDPR-compliant DPA.
- Supabase (USA/EU) — database hosting. PostgreSQL with row-level security, caches only game data (no PII).
- Riot Games, Inc. (USA) — game data API. We forward player name / puuid for searches.
- CommunityDragon (CDN) — static asset delivery (icons, images). No personal data processing.
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., USA) — error monitoring. Receives error messages and stack traces on technical faults. No performance tracking, no IP addresses.
Cookies
metastats.gg sets only a functional cookie (metastats-lang) for language preference. No tracking or advertising cookies are set. Vercel Analytics uses an anonymous, hash-based method without cookies and without IP storage.
Retention
Server logs are kept for max 14 days. Player-data caches (puuid, match IDs) remain as long as needed for platform functionality. On request, we erase individual player records within 30 days.
